Fantastic Beasts and the Crimes of Grindlewald Official Trailer Review

Hogwarts is my home

The official trailer of Fantastic Beasts and the Crimes of Grindlewald is finally out. If you haven’t watched it yet I will insert it below.

The movie is going to be released on November 16, 2018. Now let’s jump straight into the review.

After watching the trailer you would have already felt the intensity it has. It’s really cool how Fantastic Beasts 1 was just an introduction and now Fantastic Beasts 2 is way more familiar. They really established the characters in Fantastic Beasts 1 and now when we know about Newt Scamander and his team, Hogwarts is back. Hogwarts is our home, isn’t it? The nostalgia sucks me in after seeing Hogwarts in the first place. I could really feel what J. K Rowling meant when she said

Whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.

And having Dumbledore in Hogwarts adds up an amazing boost to the story. There is a lot of young Dumbledore in this trailer with all his charming charisma and Jude Law can nail it perfectly. I believe he is the appropriate choice for this character.

Johnny Depp is playing Grindelwald. What on earth would be better than this? I am sure people will love Grindelwald more than Voldemort as Johnny Depp is the star of fantasies.

Extremely glad to see Jacob Kowalski in this movie as I thought his story ended after he got obliviated. I really enjoyed this guy, he really stole the first movie for me. I am a little curious to see what a muggle is doing in Hogwarts. Not to forget the fact that Newt Scamander gave him some tips regarding taking care of his beasts.

The trailer somehow manages to show Newt Scamander going against Grindlewald but it has Dumbledore in it. I am sure that it is going to be much more than that. I am very interested to see how this movie is going to portray why Dumbledore wants the strange animal guy to take on this really evil wizard, acknowledging Dumbledore is the smartest wizard in town

One thing I really wanna put right here is that Beasts + Hogwarts reminds me of Hagrid. I really don’t know how old Dumbledore is from Hagrid but I will love to see Hagrid in any of the upcoming movies of the Fantastic Beasts holding the fact that the name of the movie has beasts in it.

Furthermore, most of you would have noticed this sign at exactly 1:43 min of the trailer. This is the sign of Deathly Hallows and it perfectly makes sense considering Dumbledore will have the Elder wand and Deathly Hallows itself showed a glimpse of Grindelwald in the movie. Also, we can find the elder wand and the cloak in the cover picture of Fantastic Beasts and the Crimes of Grindelwald.

The trailer didn’t blow me away. Being a Potterhead I am used to the look, effects, and awesomeness of Harry Potter meaning its just great. I am really excited about the movie and I am sure every Potterhead is as enthusiastic as I am for the new one. I really have high hopes. Do tell me your thoughts on the trailer and comment below if you are excited about the movie.
