Want to learn how to sink a 3 billion dollar submarine? Learn it from the Indian Navy. They recently placed an example of negligence when one of their sailors forgot to close one of the hatches of INS Arihant before diving in the waters.
According to the local Indian newspaper, a sailor apparently forgot to close the hatch. And as the submarine merged, the water flooded into its vessel. It could have been fatal for all the crew but they rescued timely and saved.
The name of the responsible individual is not disclosed yet. The Arihant is India’s 2nd best strike option.
It is almost certain no one aboard the INS Arihant intended to sink a 3 billion dollar submarine, but the error quite nearly placed their entire country at risk.
