SONU KE TITU KI SWEETY
I loved both “Pyar ka Punchnama” 1 and 2 so when I watched the trailer of “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety” i was really excited for the movie.
The name sounds a bit weird but we have seen names like “Matru Ki Bijli ka Mandola” so this didn’t bother me much.
Sonu (Sunny Nijar) is a Love Boy always falling in love with the wrong girl. His childhood friend Titu (Kartik Aaryan) is always there to save him. Their lives are completely changed when Titu decides to marry Sweety (Nushrat Bharucha). Sonu finds out that Sweety is evil so he tries to warn Titu but fails.
This gave rise to an amazing enmity between Sonu and Sweety. What happened next? For that you have to watch the movie.
The movie won’t bore you at any moment in the 2 and half hours. Sunny Nijar performed his role remarkably well and stole the show. Nushrat looked amazing and did justice to the role of an evil fiance. Kartik may disappoint you at few moments but it can be ignored due to the wit of this movie.
The word “Chutia” was excessively used and you will feel the movie could be funny even without the repeated slang. The most surprising part was GhaseetaRam (Alok Nath) who is not so sanskaari anymore. I could never imagine him in such a role but the way he performed his comic role really surprised me. Watching the sanskaar king in this new avatar chugging whiskey and giving some moti moti gaali will surely make you laugh.
A BIG QUESTION
There’s only one big issue. Throughout the movie you will fail to find how the girl SWEETY is CHAALU (Except for the moment where she claims herself). She was a perfect bahu, the type Sooraj Barjatya dreams of. Apart from this you will definitely enjoy the movie if you are just looking for entertainment.
The three dance numbers Dil Chori, Chote Chote Peg and Bom Diggy are all adaptations of others but you will love the choreography and will add them in your playlists. Rest of the songs won’t be remembered for long.
Please keep in mind that my review is only gonna tell what an ordinary guy felt after watching that movie. I am not a critic and I can’t judge a movie on the basis of its screenplay, cinematography and other technical stuff.
